Dentures and a Tutu

You may be wondering how a career made around you physical abilities can support you for your whole life.  Like many other professional athletes, there comes a time when your body can no longer function as it used to.  That's when dancers know when to retire.  www.tightsandtiaras.com talks about how the possibilities for retired dancers are enormous, yet limited.  Many retired dancers sneak a performance or two back into their scheduele, but are still forced to use the money from past years to support themselves.

Many dancers are forced to retire beween the age 30 and 40 because their body no longer permits them to dance.  Mike Ditka played a good life of football until his retirement.  He now lives a good life with enough money to support himself.  Think about it.  Football players can't keep on tackling forever, they have to retire as they get old.  No one worries about their future because they have made enough money to support themselves through retirement.  Dancers are very similar in that aspect.  They retire as their bodies age, but can still have enough money to live comfortably.
