How come the NFL average salary is the smallest amount out of the NBA, MLB, NHL, and NFL?

. I am passionate about this topic because I play football and I love everything about the game. I wanted to figure out why players that are most prone to injury are payed the least on average.

2. I already know NFL players have the lowest average salary compared to NBA, NHL, MLB.

How do musicians make a living?

I am passionate about this topic because I plan on being a musician.  I am interested in how musicians make money for their living.

How did Urban Outfitters become successful?

I am interested in looking at how this company recruited brands, and how they received enough money to start a store and then expand into national, and international known store. Also how the founder Richard Hayne took sole custody of this brand, and how it lasted in the horrendous world wide economy, when the clothes they sell are a middle to upper price range. I know a little enough that their stores are always bustling, but how?

What makes companies successful?

I know coke has become one of the most profitable companies in history but whats next? how are they going to top themselves? I know coke came in america at a very impressionable time, and that’s partially why they became so successful here but how will they weave themselves into other cultures.  Coke has revolutionized marketing and has produced a wide variety of drinks which is why they have been so successful.

Why is there a salary cap in sports?

I am passionate about sports because they have been such an influence on my life. Ever since I have been a young boy I have been playing sports and watching professional sports. I never have quite understood why there is a salary cap and why teams are not allowed to pay player whatever they want.

Why do professional athletes have such a high salary?

Jack McGann
For my passion project I will be researching to answer my question: “Why do professional athletes get paid so much money?” The reason I chose this is because I have always been curious why they get so much money for playing a sport they enjoy. A lot of these players go to division I colleges to specifically play sports like basketball and football. There are thousands of kids hoping to get into these colleges for academic purposes, but their spots are taken by the athletes. After college, the students have done a lot more studying than the athletes to prepare for a job that is, in my opinion, much more important. After four years of medical school, why does a doctor whose duty is to save lives make not even half the amount as the average NFL player? Why does a military officer, fighting overseas for our country, make only a fifth of the lowest paid NBA player?

Should skateboarding be illegal with the population of the sport?

1. I'm passionate about studying this topic because I know there is an economic value in it even though its illegal.
2. I know its one of the fastest growing sports

. " The Bill proposed to expand Section 1, Title 10 of the Philadelphia Code to include new penalties of $2,000 and up to 90 days in jail for skateboarding on public art, monument and memorial.'

"positive economic effects of Philadelphia hosting the 2001/2002 X-Games are without question — tens of thousands of hotel room stays, international media coverage, and millions of dollars worth of retail and food sales to 250,000 people visiting the city for one or more days. Skateboarding-related tourism will continue to be a draw for the City long after the X-Games."

there are three important long-term benefits associated with fostering Philadelphia's reputation as the international center of an interconnected skateboarding and arts culture:

1)Increased enrollment in local colleges and universities,
2)new businesses catering to a growing population of artists and skateboarders, and
3)the ability to draw into the City the big businesses and new media enterprises that are banking on the continued profitability of skateboarding culture as part of the American cultural mainstream.

Why are some artists more widely recognized and paid more than others who are equally/more talented?

Although I think saying that I'm passionate about celebrities and celebrity gossip is a little much, I think this topic is actually really interesting. A few weeks ago, I saw a clip online of Megan Fox a few years ago, in a Mary-Kate and Ashley movie, with terrible acting. I think it’s so funny and strange that Megan Fox, who was literally so unconvincing and embarrassing, is such a big, known star, while someone like Heath Ledger wasn’t as known until after his death and the release of The Dark Knight. On the other hand, certain books and authors are also more known than others, despite having flaws. For example, books like Twilight and the Hunger Games are extremely popular, although they don’t have nice prose or writing. Sure, the ideas and creativity put into the books are what makes them so successful, but there are plenty of other books with original ideas and better writing that aren’t nearly as recognizable, which is an interesting concept to consider. This is why I want to research the topic- because it’s something everyone thinks about at some point, but never bother to understand.

how do companies get so successful?

One of the reasons why i want to research is because i want to grow my brand , and become more successful in the future like Nike, apple.

i know that Nike became the leader of shoes market after they got Micheal Jordan to advertise and that took them to the next level.  I want to know the details and choices to make to create a better company.

Why do celebrities make so much money?

I am passionate about researching this topic because I am interested in pop culture and want to know more about how this system of celebrity salaries works. I also want to specifically look at the salaries of certain celebrities and why they make more than others (or what specific talents they have that give them the comparative advantage over other celebrities).I know just the basics of the topic of why celebrities make so much money. I know that it is easy for a celebrity, like Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston, or Gisele Bundchen, to request a bigger salary because they’re needed. They have the talent in the business. Movie sets can move on with new cameramen or prop managers, but without the actual actors, they have nothing. Celebrities have the necessary desired talents.

What are the expenses of recording music?

Right now I know almost nothing about the recording process. I am interested in learning about this because I am crazily passionate about music. I would love to learn about how the ideas that become songs go from the minds of the songwriters to the headphones in my ears.

How do economics affect auto racing?

I am interested in this topic because I plan on making a living in the industry, and love racing. I know a bit about the topic, especially in the non professional section of auto racing. I know that sponsorships affect racing greatly and that racing is extremely expensive

Why are some companies like Apple and Nike not prevented from using child labor?

I am passionate about this topic because it is a big issue that really needs to be solved, companies like these should no longer be allowed to abuse their workers and take advantage of child labor.
All I know about this topic is that people who work under these companies are being abused and I want to know why it is being allowed to happen.

U.S. Economic Crisis

I decided to research the U.S. economic crisis because of how little I know about it. I feel that I should thoroughly understand this topic due to the fact that I will soon be directly affected by it.
All I know about this topic is that the housing market played a key role in causing it and that it is ongoing due to the fact that efforts to alleviate our economic woes seem to have been unsuccessful.

Dancing Jobs

What I know

When people think of dancers they think of little five year olds in pig tails and a pink, puffy tutu.  What they don’t know is that people can have a profession dancing while making a good amount of money.  Although it is very hard to be a successful dancer, it is possible to make money doing what you love.  Many can be backround dancers for shows or on broadway.  Some choreograph dances for celebrities.  However, some can’t make it in the real world and end up having to strip for money, similar to Channing Tatum in Magic Mike.

Why I want to learn

I love to dance, and I dance for several hours every week. Everyone in my family dances, and although I dont want to become a prefessional dancer, I have freinds at my dance studio who dream of it.  I was wondering how they would be able to make money and how successful they could actually become.

What makes Google so economically successful?

In middle school, I had a friend whose father had worked for Google. Whenever I would be at their house he would be telling me all these crazy stories about the office that he had worked in. Chairs replaced with bouncy balls, scooters used to go to and fro, even napping orbs that the employees could use as their own personal “thinking time”. Everyday seemed like a vacation to him. Since hearing his stories, and growing up to gain a better understanding of the world and how corporations work, I am curious as to how such a successful business can exist with employees that are so carefree and seem to hardly do any work at all. Now, I know that some work has to be getting done within the Googleplex walls, but it seems that the founders and organizers of the Google workers value creativity, innovation, and relaxation to increase productivity in some way. How does Google create such a large revenue with such lax working areas and no blatant services that are being paid for?

Should College Athletes get paid?

Why study: I am passionate about this topic because next year I will be playing baseball at Boston College.I want to get some more insight on the life of a college athlete and why the NCAA has so many strict rules.

I know: As of right now, I know that a lot of athletes are getting in trouble for taking money from boosters or schools while they are playing there. I want to see if there is any way that the NCAA can work out a deal with letting athletes generate some type of their own revenue.
