Why do Athletes get paid so much?

             I have decided to chose the topic of athletes salary for my passion project. I know that this is an issue because it is always in the news. With athletes going broke and amateurs in college wanting to be paid, I thought this would be a good topic to do research on. I hope to learn as much as I can about this topic and understand how athletes get paid and why they get what they earn.
